| As it is generally known pure PTFE is a very soft material and the gaskets filled with this material are typically associated with the disadvantage of high relaxation rate. In PAFLON-SILICA gaskets constructed out of composition of PTFE and silica fillers this drawback has been solved and the sealing system has been made capable to being used in severe conditions. Moreover, due to minimization of leaking hazards in low surface pressures the necessity of retightening of bolts are eliminated. This gasket is also characterized with exclusive load bearing ability and resistance to elevated temperatures and pressures. It is worth mentioning that this gasket is completely fire safe. |
