Kit for flange insulation gaskets
Through safety and corrosion protection, Palmfox gasket kits for flange insulation are intended to guarantee the integrity and dependability of the pipeline and piping system. Static flow is halted by removing metal-to-metal contact to stop corrosion and aid in the cathodic protection of the piping system. To meet any conceivable need, Palmfox flange insulation gasket kits are offered in a variety of configurations.
Palmfox Flange insulation kit components
Each kit for insulating flanges includes...
1 Main oval or flat gasket
1 Insulating sleeve per bolt
Each bolt needs 2 insulating steel washers.
For each bolt, use two sheet steel washers.
For better results, all of these components are constructed from special materials with low water absorption rates, dielectric properties, and chemical stability.
Complete sets are packaged and labeled separately with information about the flange size, rating, type, and material combination.
Palmfox Insulation sets are typically available up to 24 inches, but upon request, higher nominal custom sizes can be produced.
Different Types of Palmfox General Insulation Kits:
There are three common types of insulation kits that are explained as follows:
Insulation Kit Type D

Type D gaskets are made specifically to fit into ring-type joint flanges' ring grooves. They are made of phenolic material with a medium weave and fabric reinforcement, are sized to ANSI specifications, and come in basic octagonal and oval shapes.

Insulation Kit Type E

Type E is a full-faced gasket with bolt holes that are precisely cut and have the same outside diameter as the flange. This design makes it easier to install the gasket correctly and prevents foreign objects from shorting the flange isolation. Type E gaskets are available in plain face or Nitrile faced phenolic, as well as a variety of high-temperature materials.

Insulation Kit Type F

Type F gaskets are made only to fit the raised face portion of the flange.
The F gasket has no bolt holes, so the bolt hole inside diameter is a little bit smaller than the gasket outside diameter, guaranteeing precise, automatic positioning of the gasket.
The same materials used for type E gaskets are also available for type F gaskets.
